About Us

Our company was forged with a passion for trees; a passion for studying them, understanding them and working with them. Now more than ever in our rapidly changing environment, it’s imperative we properly care for our trees, to ensure we are maintaining their health for successive generations. Our aim at Stockwell-Davies is to promote these values through sound consulting advice and robust industry compliance & theory training.

For the first eight years of Stockwell-Davies existence, it was primarily a tree surgery business. Started from scratch in 2016, it grew into a formidable company, offering high-end services to a broad range of clients and creating a portfolio of exceptional work. For four of those years, Stockwell-Davies was an Arb Approved Contractor.

In late 2023, Stockwell-Davies re-structured, selling its tree surgery enterprise to local company and close friends, Treetech. It now focuses its attention on providing consultancy services to its clients and compliance & theory training to the industry.

Director Tom Hamments has nearly two decades experience working in the arboricultural industry. He holds the following qualifications: Level 2 Certificate in Arboriculture, Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture (DipArb), Royal Forestry Society Certificate in Arboriculture (CertArb) and LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector. He holds the following accreditations and positions: Arboricultural Association Professional Member (by assessment) (MArborA), Institution of Environmental Sciences Full Member (MIEnvSc) & Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech). He has a suite of 15+ short course qualifications and attendances that substantiate his experience. He manages his continual professional development (CPD) in excess of his respective industry body membership requirements.

Stockwell-Davies is based in the heart of the North Cotswolds, with exceptional transport links North, South, East & West, we are happy to travel nationwide.
